Thank you for dropping by. My name is Mathieu, I was born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica now living in Atlanta, Georgia. I started photography at the age of 17 out of a growing fascination for nature and landscapes that was strongly influenced by my years as a youth traveling my home country with my family. This love for exploration paired with an interest in understanding our natural world helped to create the foundation for my photography. When I first began photography, most of my focus was on macro photos of insects. Along the way, I took up cityscapes and urban photography as I spent most of my free time exploring my new home.

Over the past decade, countless hours have been spent exploring as well as capturing moments around Atlanta. In the last 5 years, I have come to include moments in nature, something I love deeply. For me, photography is a form of self expression as well as a way to be more present. It has allowed me to observe and learn new things about the places I go to, which in turn allows me to better understand and appreciate each place. It’s sometimes said that in order for us to appreciate as well as understand something, we first have to see it.
